Tanzanian Neogene Paleoanthropological Survey, Tanzania

This project, co-directed by Dr. Jackson Njau and Dr. Leslea Hlusko, seeks to discover new Neogene fossil and archaeological sites in Tanzania through field survey using high resolution satellite imagery. Guided by this technique, the project has been able to inventory twenty-eight paleontological and archaeological localities countrywide significant for conducting investigations on human origins and evolution.
